Educated at Ballymena Academy, David joined Allied Irish Bank (AIB) in 1981 where he qualified to become an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). After 25 years with AIB David left his position as a Financial Planning Manager to set up his own company where he was an IFA for 6 years before accepting the invitation to join St. James's Place in 2012.

David specialises in providing retirement, investment and protection planning advice. Based in new offices opened in Ahoghill in December 2021, he is passionate about building long term relationships with his clients based on mutual trust, honesty and respect and puts this at the forefront of the advice he gives to all his clients.

In his spare time David likes to spend quality time with his family, particularly his five young granddaughters. An ex-rugby player and coach he has a keen interest in most sports, particularly rugby and football.
